Life can be stressful and at times overwhelming.  When this happens, we can often feel stuck with uncertainty of what to do next.  I will work 1-on-1 with you to help you find ways to move forward in your life by assessing past and/or current patterns of behaviours, as well as obstacles that may be impeding your overall happiness.  Individual work can provide you with the opportunity to explore, reflect, and find resolutions to your emotional experiences and challenges.

Family therapy

Family Therapy

In every family, it is common to have healthy arguments and disagreements every now and then.  However, sometimes these arguments can feel constant and like no one is listening or understanding each other.  In family work, I aim to focus on common ground and shared hopes and goals.  We will work together to understand relationship patterns, and encourage new ways of communicating and interacting with one another to create a healthier dynamic. 

 

Some topics of interest for families may include and are not limited to:

  • Building healthier boundaries

  • Increasing positive family experiences

  • Emotion regulation

  • Separation and/or Divorce

  • Strengthening relationships

Caregiver Support

Caregiver Support

Whether you are a first-time parent, a parent with more than one child, or a grandparent who is parenting a second time (raising your grandchildren), caring for a child can at times bring mixed emotions.  On one hand, it can bring so much joy and feel so rewarding, while on another hand, it can also be exhausting, frustrating, and nerve-racking.  I will support and guide you to foster a strong and healthy relationship with your child, while navigating the challenges and joys of parenthood. 

 

Some topics of interest for caregivers may include but are not limited to:

  • Setting limits and boundaries

  • Managing challenging behaviours

  • Troubles with school
