About Me
How it all started...
In high school, I decided to earn extra credits through assisting in a classroom of students who had been diagnosed with a Mild Intellectual Disability. The feelings and emotions that I experienced from supporting others as they overcame their challenges and achieved their goals ultimately led me to pursue a profession that allows me to help others. I am proud to be a social worker and consider my professional designation as one of the most important parts of who I am.
Educational background and experience...
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours degree from York University, and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. I have worked with children and families in various settings including schools, day treatment programs, community mental health agencies, and within the child welfare and foster care system. I have also facilitated groups for parents who are looking to prevent and treat social, emotional, and behavioural problems that their children are experiencing.
